Delores Mary Lardie

September 5, 1925 — December 27, 2014

Delores Mary Lardie, age 89, of Appleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the evening of December 27, 2014, at Cherry Meadows. Delores was born on September 5, 1925, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth Czaskos. She graduated from the South Division High School in Milwaukee and later went on to business school. Delores worked as a secretary and teachers aid. On December 29, 1948, Delores married the love of her life, Dale Lardie, in a ceremony at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage and raised 3 beautiful children together.

Delores loved to watch classic movies and playing bridge, gin rummy and sheepshead. She also enjoyed cooking, bowling and playing golf. She and Dale loved to dance, be it at the Eagle's Club or at their granddaughters' weddings. After their retirement in 1986, Delores and Dale moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Many fond memories and good friends were made there over the next 20 years. In 2006, they decided to move to Appleton to be closer to family. Family always came first to Delores and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her loving husband: Dale Lardie; her children: Claire (Gary) Wick and Paul (Sharon) Lardie; her granddaughters: Amanda (Reid Wilson) Wick, Caitlin (Ramsey Harvard) Wick, Cassandra Lardie and Tess Lardie; as well as great grandson: Brayden and daughter-in-law: Patrice Lardie. She was preceded in death by her son: James Lardie and her parents.

Delores's family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Cherry Meadows and Theda Care Hospice for their kindness and support through this difficult time.

A private family memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
