Debra Marie Longberg nee Janus

Debra Marie Longberg nee Janus, 44, passed away after a sudden illness on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at home.

Debby was born on August 19, 1971 to Gordon and Judith (Drephal) Janus in Appleton. At age 12 she had Reyes Syndrome and was only the second child in the state to survive through stage four. On November 16, 1996 she was united in marriage to James Longberg in Appleton. Debby enjoyed going on carnival rides and spoiling her pets. She was always ready with a bright smile and warm hug and enjoyed helping other people. Most of all Debby loved spending time with her girls and those times will always be cherished. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception in Greenville and an active volunteer at the church and school.

Debby is survived by her husband, James, two girls; Autumn and Amy, her mom Judy Janus, a sister, Stacy (Mike) Van Handel, father-in-law and mother-in-law; John and Mary Longberg, two brothers-in-law; Gary Longberg, and Kevin Longberg, two nieces; Paige, her God Daughter, and Rachel Van Handel, a nephew, Nicholas Van Handel a special cousin, Brett (Dana) Miller, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Gordon and a daughter Abigail.

The funeral liturgy for Debby will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, N2385 Municipal Dr. Greenville, with Fr. Peter Mitchell officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Appleton.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for her daughters Autumn and Amy. The family would like to thank St Mary's Catholic Church, Fr. Peter, the EMT's and the Sherriff Department for their help during this difficult time.
