David Lamont Woods

Appleton – David L. Woods, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was born on June 29, 1964, in Chicago, IL, the son of Ronald Woods and Sandra (Reed) Lee. David was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Wallace on June 27th, 1987. He attended and graduated from Ashford University with two bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Business Administration. David owned Insight Cleaning and We Got Your Back/Hot Spot for many years.

David is survived by his Wife: Gwen Woods; 6 Children: Tarie Naylor, Anthony Wallace, Diondre Wallace, Quentin Woods, Audery Woods, Faith Woods; 19 Grandchildren​; his mother and Stepfather: Sandra and Arvel J. Lee; Siblings: Roshawnda Fields and Cetra Reed; and many other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his great- Grandmother Myra C. Briscoe, Grandmother Evelyn G. Mathis, Grandmother Florence Woods, Great- great Aunt Alice M. Williams, Great- Aunt Violet G. Anderson, Aunt Ann Cole, Uncle Byron S. Reed, Uncle Norman S. Reed, and Grandson Shabazz Owens Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Interment will be in Twelve Corners Cemetery, Town of Center. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
