Age 57, died Friday morning, October 12, 2001, following a long illness. He was born December 3, 1943, to the late Walter J. and Arlene (Schuh) Kuba, in Appleton, where he graduated from Appleton High School in 1962. Dave enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in April 1963 and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in 1986. While serving with the Air Force, Dave was stationed in Viet Nam. Following his retirement from the military, he had been employed by J. J. Plank for 9 years. Dave was an avid Packer fan and was a master mechanic, fixing many people’s cars. He was a member of Appleton Baptist Temple. Survivors include his wife, Shelba J. Kuba, to whom he had been married for 36 years; five sons and three daughters-in- law, David J. and Paula Kuba, Jr, Appleton; Daniel W. Kuba, Menasha; Donald J. and Laurie Kuba, Little Chute; Duane W. and Karen Kuba, Appleton; Ronald O. Kuba, Grand Chute; three grandchildren, Krystal, Amber and Amanda Kuba; and a brother Terry S. Kuba, Appleton. He was preceded in death by his son Walter James “Jimmy” Kuba and his brother Walter James “Jim” Kuba. Funeral services for David will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 15, 2001, at APPLETON BAPTIST TEMPLE, 621 North Bateman Street , with Reverend Bill R. Munson officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial park. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 11:00 am, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
