Chico and his siblings grew up around the corner from us, and it was his tenacity in spite of crippling polio that left an indelible impression of strength with me. There was no way he would be left behind; whatever his brothers and sisters were doing, Chico was doing it, too. He knew how to live life to its fullest, never stopping to think that maybe he couldn;t or shouldn't.

Now that he has moved beyond those restrictions, I see him running, jumping and certainly, dancing.
