Daniel P. Bethke

Dan Bethke, age 44, passed away very unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning, November 9, 2010. Dan was born on January 22, 1966, the son of the late Bernard and Roslyn (Curtis) Bethke. He grew up in Calumet County, and attended high school in Hilbert. Dan was a proud member of the United States Army and was stationed both in Mainz, Germany and Fort Bragg, North Carolina during the 1980’s. On August 17, 1996, he married the former Lori Arrowood in Menasha. For many years, Dan was employed at Presto Products in Appleton, and was working there until the time of his death. He loved to golf, deer hunt, and play video games. He treasured spending time with family, collecting eagles and the company of his dogs Bella and Hoyt.

Dan is survived by his loving wife: Lori Bethke of Kaukauna; a son: Dustin Bethke of Kaukauna; four sisters: Sylvia (Bob) Loose of Forest Junction; Sharon Brochtrup of Appleton; Barb (Dwight) Hogan of Illinois; and Jean (Jim) Spietz of Kaukauna; a brohter: Dave (Laurie) Bethke of Reedsville; a sister-in-law: Sue (John) Maynard of Neenah; and his mother and father-in-law: James and Marlene Arrowood of Neenah. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother Harold.

A memorial mass for Dan will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish (St. Mary's Church) 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will full military honors will take place in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
