Dale Allen Kappell

Age 56, of Appleton, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Dale was born July 14, 1952, in Appleton, the son of Barbara L. (Hupf) Kappell, White Lake, and the late Dale E. Kappell. He served as a radioman in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Brooke.
Dale was a collector of special items such as coins, movies, knives, lighters, and special edition plates, and he enjoyed going fishing. Dale was a good man with a big heart, and would help anyone anytime he could.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his son, Bradley; aunts and uncle, Frank (Delores) Kappell, Dolores “Tootie” Brandt, Adrs Butler, and Jackie Ratliff; special friends, Lori Weber, Theresa and Scott Christensen, Dan and Valerie Willard, and his former spouse, Kay Pierce; he is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Dale Edward, and grandparents, William and Florence Hupf and Henry and Inez Kappell.

Memorial services for Dale will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, downtown chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home. Military honors will follow services.
