Age 65, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was born in Waupaca on June 24, 1945 the daughter of the late Edwin and Rena (Brooks) Schroeder. On May 7, 1966 she married her husband of 44 years, Gary Snortum. Connie was a hairdresser for many years. She then retired from Northwestern Mutual Life in 2008. Connie loved spending time with her six grandchildren, gardening, cooking, and sewing. Connie will be remembered for her vibrant and loving personality.

Connie is survived by her husband, Gary; children: Christina (Greg) Shaver of Kennesaw, GA; Angela (Brian) Bennett of Appleton, and Victoria (fiancé, Michael Reed) Snortum of Appleton; grandchildren: Jason and Brady Shaver, and Jake, Sam, Sadie and Lilah Bennett; sister, Carol (Norman) Hoeft; brother, Kenneth (Vonnie) Schroeder; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Schroeder.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Wichmann Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
