Connie M. Baumann

June 14, 1962 — November 7, 2012

Connie M. Baumann, age 50, of Hortonville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, November 7, 2012. She was born on June 14, 1962, in Green Bay, the daughter of Bryle and Susan (Vandermuss) Brunette. On August 10, 1996, Connie married David Baumann in Kauai, Hawaii. She was employed at Rich Products for many years, prior to her current employment at Exopack in Menasha. Connie was an eleven year member of the Johnston-Blessman Post #38 American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed being her mother-in-law's personal shopper.

Connie loved to challenge the limits of her creativity. She loved to landscape and always tried to get it just right. Always moving plants or trying new flowers. But she especially excelled at decorating, whether it was just a new coat of paint or full blown Christmas decorating, she was in her element. Every year was something new, and the challenge brought out the best in her and brought her great happiness. Her loss brings great sorrow, but we can take comfort in knowing that with the holiday coming, God must have needed someone to spruce up Heaven for him.

Connie is survived by her loving husband: David Baumann; mother and step-father: Susan and Ken Herres, Sherwood; siblings: David (Jill), Timothy (Chris), and Mary Brunette, all of Appleton; Peter (Lori) Brunette, Bolingbrook, Illinois; mother-in-law: Clara (Lenz) Baumann, Appleton; sisters-in-law: Linda (John) Breitzman, Appleton; Jo Ann (Don Quella) Reischl, Sherwood; Sally (Frank) Baublit, Slinger; and brother-in-law: Tom Baumann, Neenah. She is further survived by her cat, Gizmo, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Connie was preceded in death by her father, Bryle Brunette and father-in-law, Henry Baumann.

The funeral liturgy for Connie will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton. Fr. Gerald Falk will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and again at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of mass. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 pm on Sunday. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Online condolences can be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

Connie's family would like to thank the ICU staff at Appleton Medical Center, especially Kim, Amber, and Tara, for your excellent care and compassion.
