Teri Hickel left a message on April 6, 2009:
Jan, Sol and Marcia, I'm still so sad to have lost Colleen. She had such a big smile and bigger heart. I have a lot of memories but one that stands out the most was at the beach cabin when we discovered we had the same "deformed" left foot. We felt destined to be cousins. Marcia, I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to meet you and hope to one day. Jan and Sol, my heart is with you. Teri, along with Tim, Morgan, and Mackenzie Hickel

Aunt Jan, Sol, Steve, and the Wisconsin relatives and friends; We are saddened by Colleen's passing. My (Brad) most vivid memory of Colleen was her infectious smile; she had it as a baby and it was still there a couple of years ago when we last saw her. We'll all miss her. Brad and Sue Hammermaster
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Dear Jan and Sol, One day I cam home from school and Colleen and a frind were sitting on our deck. I thought she was in California so it was quite a surprise. Colleen introduced her friend and visited for about an hour. She was so full of ideas and dreams. We will miss her and feel very sad over your loss. Rich and Gayle

Carol Erwin left a message on April 6, 2009:
AJ, Sol, Marie and everyone who loved Colleen, I remember Colleen's visit to Bailey and also our visits to Cali. I always thought that Colleen was so pretty and had the most beautiful hair, especially when it was all spikey and such (I was quite envious). Colleen was heaps of fun and I recall fondly driving along the Cali coast in a jeep with her when Ken and I visited. I hope that she has found peace and that we all will too.
Ken Erwin left a message on April 6, 2009:
Jan and Sol, I remember how Steve and Colleen took care of Carol and I when we visited LA when we were little. She was so energetic! I wish you well and lots of comfort for your loss. Ken
Linda and Ivan left a message on April 6, 2009:
Jan, I am so sorry for your loss. Words seem so inadequate. I will always remember Colleen for the time she and Steve visited us in Bailey and shared a few secrets about you that they weren't suppose to, but you know kids tell all! She obviously was a caring and compassionate person especially with the work she loved and the children she cared about. Our thoughts and hearts are with you. Linda and Ivan

Jan and Sol, we were saddened by the news. I have many wonderful childhood memories of Colleen; from Manhattan Beach in the Summer -to- Puyallup at Christmas time. Colleen always offered her imagination and laughter. I'll always remember that smile. Greg, JoAnne, Sammy & Olivia Hammermaster
