I remember Clyde and Joanie always stopping at my mom and dad's bar (Marshall & Brendas) in Advance, on their way to Chute Pond. Oh... when my dad and Clyde got to drinking, there was a lot of laughter and good times. R.I.P. Clyde, I'm sure you and my dad are having a heck of a good time BSing!!

When I was 7 my dad started taking me to Outagamie speedway to watch an old classmate of my mother race. That was smiling Clyde. Always running upfront and always fun to watch Clyde interact with fans of all ages. A very clean racer and not a bad BS er. That was 63 years and 165 different race tracks ago. Clyde was definitely instrumental in my love for the sport of racing, which continues today, partly because a humble, jovial racer would smile and wink to a skinny shy seven year old. Thanks for all the memories #71,36, & 30. Rip old racer.

Although I never got the chance to meet Clyde, stories I've been told and the children he raised tell me what a special and great person he was. I hope and pray that all the wonderful memories of his life will give his family some peace at this time.
