Christine Maria Hammes, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Christine was born on October 2, 1972 to Wayne and Mary Hunt. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Physical Therapy. On May 4, 1996 she was united in marriage to Brian Hammes. She worked at the Bridgewood Nursing and Rehab Center.

Christine was a loving wife and dedicated mother and she will be sorely missed each and every day. She had many hobbies and enjoyed reading, making jewelry, photography, playing the piano, singing, and scuba diving. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and that time will be greatly treasured. Christine was a member of Faith Lutheran Church

Christine is survived by her husband, Brian, a daughter Sophia, her parents; Wayne and Mary Hunt, a sister Suzanne (Nathan) Jones, father and mother-in-law, Jim and Dawn Hammes, brothers-in-law; Joe (Lisa) and Eric (Robyn) Hammes, a God son, Nathan Hammes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Christine will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 E. Glendale Ave. with Rev. Daniel Thews officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and hospital staff at Appleton Medical Center and Rev. Daniel Thews for their care and support.
