Charles William Blodgett, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 as a result of a stroke. He was born October 21, 1922, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Matheson) Blodgett. After high school, Charles enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1943. He honorably served his country until his discharge in 1945. Charles married his first wife, Mildred, who preceded him in death in 1988. Charles worked for Thilmany Paper Company for 32 years until his retirement in 1984. Charles married his loving wife, Eunice Dabill, on June 23, 1989. Charles enjoyed traveling and woodworking. He was a proud family man who was known for his great sense of humor and his fun loving attitude.

Charles will be sadly missed by his wife, Eunice Blodgett of Appleton; daughters: Elaine (John) Anderson of Appleton, Shirley (David) Huycke of Appleton; grandchildren: Eric Anderson and special friend, Kris, Kerrie (Steve) Gonnering, Greg (Michelle) Anderson, Tim (Andrea) Anderson, Sara (Jody) Meulemans, Peter (Amanda) Huycke, Steven Huycke, Daniel (Fiancé, Jodi) Huycke; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Charles will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010 at APPLETON ALLIANCE CHURCH, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton, with the Rev. Dick Schaefer officiating. Friends will be received for visitation on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home and again on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
