Charles "Chuck" Koepke

Charles W. (Chuck) Koepke, age 81, of Kimberly, WI unexpectedly passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton with his loving wife at his side.

Chuck was born May 13, 1934 in Niagra Falls, NY. He grew up in Neenah, WI and joined the U.S. Navy at a young age. After serving for four years, Chuck came home and worked several jobs before settling at, what was then known as, Miller Electric Company. He worked there for 30 years.

Chuck's great loves were his wife Elaine, playing cards, fishing for blue gills and talking to everyone and anyone he met. He truly enjoyed singing with MacDowell Choir and the many friendships he made there.

Chuck is survived by his wife Elaine (Weninger) Koepke and children, Gregory (Debbie) Koepke, Leonard Koepke, Michael (Donna) Voss, Sue (Gary) Verbeten and Sharon (Ron) Simon. He was also survived by his sisters, Claudia and brother-in-law Larry Perkins, Crystal (Volkman) Smith, Kathleen Myer (Jim Norton, friend) and brother-in-law Paul (Barb) Weninger. He was also survived by many grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Gladys Koepke and step-father Frank Klarner, sister-in-law Jerrine (Corky) Josephs and four brother-in-laws.

The funeral liturgy for Chuck will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, with Father Bob Kollath officiating. He had the kindest smile and the biggest heart of anyone we knew and he was loved very, very dearly. We are comforted knowing that he is watching down on us and caring for us in every way as he has always done.
