Age 98, passed away on Wednesday, October 06, 2004 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. She was born on April 24, 1906 in Marinette, WI the daughter of the late Matthew and Matilda (Zelda) Fournier. On April 19, 1927 she married Raymond Schultz. They owned and operated Schultz’s Bar on North Meade Street for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two daughters: Yvonne (Robert) Schultz of Black Creek, and Carla (Ron) Casperson of Appleton; two sisters Bernice Carlin of Appleton, and Mary Jane Neja of Birmingham, Alabama; a brother-in-law Gordon Pirner of Appleton, Thomas Gleason of Illinois, and Merrill Kirkpatrick of California; her grandchildren: Shari Kaczrowski of Black Creek, Lori (James) Quillan of Bayside, California, Scott (Laura) Schultz of Black Creek, and Connie (Corey) Kettner of Hortonville; Holly Santoni of Menasha, Kelly (Sean) Brennan of San Juan Capistrano, California, John Edwards of Berlin, WI, R. Mitchel (Heather) Edwards of Combined Locks, Diedre (Chip) Lacasse of Wisconsin Rapids, and Shellie (Paul) McCormack of Plymouth, Massachusetts; 16 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Ray and Tony, two sisters Roseanna Kirkpatrick, and Gloria Gleason; a granddaughter Melindi Casperson, and two brothers: Dewey, Matthew and Pete Fournier; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The funeral service for Cecile will be conducted on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St Paul Lutheran Church at the corner of Franklin and Morrison Street in Appleton with the Rev. Ralph Waack officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
