With great saddness, we learned of Cecil's passing. It was our pleasure meet him when we put an addition on our home over 20 years ago. When we wanted a deck several years ago, we hunted him down at the Parade of Homes to see if he'd do one for us. Cecil was fun. He had us laughing all the time. He was such a great guy...someone you would never forget.

I had a great experience building my 4th house with Cecil and his son Jaymes, wish I would have had them build the others. Cecil put in personal care as if it was his own home with extras and detail that were his trademark. At the beginning I viewed him as another builder,at the end I spoke of him as a friend. If Cecil has his way above,I'm sure the staircase to Heaven will be kept in top notch condition. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed. Chuck Gosz

Cecil was a customer of ours for 17 years. First and foremost, he was a friend. Every encounter turned into an engaging conversation. As a contractor, there are none better. He was always honest, sincere and genuinely concerned about his customers. This is a sad day for the building industry. We will miss you Cecil. May God comfort you and keep you. For the boys, know that your father was well liked and respected by everyone who had the privilege of working with him. Tom Miller Window and Door Central Appleton

Cecil's family, We were Cecil's Masonry and Concrete contractor for several years during the period when he built Dr. Whiteside's house, and it was always a pleasure working with him. Some of the jobs he took on were incredible. We laughed and had good times with your dad. You boys were just little grade school age children. He talked of you often and had you with him many times. I remember one day about a year ago he was actually calling someone else and accidentlly call us, we chatted for quite some time, catching up on family and business news. He mentioned that one of his boys worked for him, and I told him not to be to tough on you. We laughed and then went about our lives. We are both so very sorry to here of your loss, it really hit home for us. May god bless you all and we will keep you in our prayers. Jim and Karen Forster Forster Masonry, Inc.

Cecil was a thoughtful, honest, trustworthy and skilled carpenter. I had the priviledge to know him and work with him for more than 18-years on many wonderful homes. I will miss his wit, honesty and skill. This community has lost one of the best contractors it has known. He will be missed but has left a wonderful legacy for many generations to enjoy. We became acquainted with Cecil in 1981 when we discovered that he was checking out the same books on solar home design from the Appleton Public Library as we were. With one phone call, we became instant "partners" in designing and building an energy efficient home in Neenah. What an outstanding builder and wonderful gentleman!! We have the fondest of memories of Cecil and will never forget his passion for building RIGHT and pleasing his customer. May God bless his memory!
