GUNDERSON, DEE

Cecelia “Dee” Gunderson, age 77, of Neenah, is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as she entered eternity on Sunday November 14, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Dee crossed over peacefully as her family sang her favorite song, “Jesus Loves Me.” She was born on October 15, 1927, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Anna Elizabeth “Betty” (Bejak) Hicks and the late John Edward Drury. Dee made friends quickly and easily so she will be remembered and missed by the many people whose lives she touched. As a young girl, Dee enjoyed her home in Chicago where she was able to watch the games at Wrigley Field from her front porch. She and her family lived in Tomah, Wisconsin, for over 20 years; she then lived in Cedarburg; and resided in Neenah for the past year. Dee is survived by her mother, Betty Hicks, New Hampshire; her daughters, Lex (Robert) Dennis, Adell, Wisconsin, and Gail (Bob) Bushman, Neenah; her granddaughters, Terri Dennis, Naperville, Illinois and Shana Dennis, Sheboygan; her sister, Barbara Spera; her nieces, Pam and Tara (Ronnie); her nephews Paul III and Dominic; her great niece, Erin (all of New Hampshire); and her beloved kitten, Angel. She was preceded in death her father, and stepfather, Harold Busch. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2004, at CROSSROADS FOURSQUARE CHURCH, 340 East Lindbergh Street, Appleton, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Interment will be in the Gunderson family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name. There are so many people who Dee’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you; just to mention a few: Affinity Hospice especially Ellen V.; Preferred Home Health Care, especially Joni, Amy Jo and Wendy; Karla from Winnebago County; Dr. William Nelson and Jennifer; St. Elizabeth hospital staff on the 2nd and 4th floor; and the people at Assisi Home. Thank you for your loving care. We couldn’t have done this without you all. Just one last word from Dee: “This world is not my home, I just passed through.”
