Age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 7, 2011. She was born in Wrightstown on December 9, 1940 the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Salm) Lorenz. On August 26, 1958 she married her husband of 52 years, Herb Kilsdonk. Cathy spent many years as an adult foster caregiver for Outagamie County and managed rental properties with Herb. She loved to spend time with her family at their cottage in Door County and looked forward to winter Florida trips in their RV with Herb. Cathy will be remembered for her hearty laugh, a good martini, a sharp business mind, and being a great Mom to her five boys and a wonderful mother-in-law.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Herb; sons: Anthony (Char) Kilsdonk of Little Chute, Kevin (Linda) Kilsdonk of Marion, IA, Daniel (Tammy) Kilsdonk of Neenah, and Dennis (Jane) Kilsdonk of Appleton; 10 grandchildren: Amanda (Kevin), Korey, Jason, Megan, Ethan, Logan, Heather, Jessica, Andie, and Sara; brother, John (Pat) Lorenz; and foster family member, Ralph Rothlesberger. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy; brothers: Norb, Charlie, and Fred “Fritz;” and sister, Helene Van Handel.

The funeral liturgy will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State St., Appleton with Fr. David Funk, OFM CAP. officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

The family extends a special thank you to Cathy's daughter-in-law, Jane, for her companionship and care.
