Age 83, died Sunday, November 10, 2002, at Cherry Meadows, Appleton. Casimer was born on December 11, 1918, in Chicago, to the late John and Mary (Pietras) Kolodziejczyk. He married Alice Zagorski on January 24, 1945, in Chicago; she survives. Casimer was a simple, humble man who loved his family and took great pride in his work. He was a meat cutter at the Jewel Tea Supermarket in Chicago for over 28 years. Casimer was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 and served his country as a Naval Medic stationed at Pearl Harbor from 1942-1945.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alice; his daughters, Ann Marie Gombus, Derry, New Hampshire, and Lorraine (Jeffrey) Luebben, Appleton; his grandchildren, Jon L. Gombus, Boston, Massachusetts, and Lisa Marie Surowiec, Manchester, New Hampshire; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Kolo, Chicago; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Emil and John Kolo; and his brother-in-law, Fr. Thomas Zagorski, OFM, Conv.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2002, at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Morrison Street at Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton, with Fr. William Hoffman officiating. Interment and military rites will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Mattio, Dr. Larsen, the staffs at Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center, and everyone at Cherry Meadows Hospice.
