Carolyn Manley

January 16, 1933 — March 16, 2016

Carolyn Manley, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at ThedaClark hospital in Neenah surrounded by family. Carolyn was born on January 16, 1933 to the late Harold and Josephine (Reinders) Gullickson. She graduated from Neenah High School in 1951. In 1959, she married Thomas Manley, who preceded her in death in 2014. They raised three children together in Appleton. Carolyn was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was an active member of her church congregation, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Appleton.

Carolyn loved to spend time with her family and her many friends. She was the oldest of nine sisters, and the family lore was that their father always wanted a baseball team. She loved watching baseball and was a Cubs and Brewers fan her whole life. She was a loving mother and friend, and spent a lot of time caring for others. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Martin Manley, Andy Manley, and Susan Downs; and grandchildren, John and Simon Manley, and Abigail Downs, as well as other family and friends.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 North Meade Street, Appleton, with Rev. Debra Sim officiating. A time of visitation will be held at church on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
