My sympathies to the Comella family in the passing of Caroline. Husband Frank is the one who hired me for the position of Band Director at Roosevelt Jr. High School when I first came to teach in Appleton in 1959. That is when I first met this very distinctive and likeable woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Along with husband Frank they made my wife of that time, Carol and me extremely welcome into the inner sanctum of the school district. Peace and love to you Comella Family and may God Bless all of you now and in the future.

Dear Comella Family- I absolutely loved working with your Mom at OCHS. We could always count on her smile and laughter no matter the job. Your Mom was one of the volunteers I continued to hear from 11 years after leaving the Historical Society. In fact I just sent her our Christmas letter this weekend and was looking forward to hearing about her year. Please accept my condolences at this sad time.

Our thoughts are with your family. The Girl Scouts so much appreciate your thinking of us with the memorial gifts. Hopefully we will be able to serve many girls with camperships in the Fox River Valley.

Comella's--I feel like I've known you all of my life, but know I know the stories and gifts you've given more than each of you. In my memory, your mom always had a twinkle in her eye as if she knew what everyone was up to and what escapade was next. She was kind and gentle. AND, she was a Green Bay Packer Fan Hall of Famer. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I shall raise a glass of wine and a prayer to the newest star shining in the sky.
