I only met Dave and Carole a handful of times at the La Crescent Animal Rescue but they made a huge impression on me. They were both such delightful people. I could talk to Carole for hours if time had allowed. She was a very special woman. Little Monkey knew it too. Monkey would not sit still at the shelter. She was a little bundle of energy. However, the minute Carole walked in the room and sat down, Monkey would climb up on her lap and be all sweetness and innocence and stay on her lap that way until she left. Carol kept saying, "Well I certainly don't think she's got a wild side. She looks calm to me." As soon as Carole left, Monkey would be right back to her shenanigans. I think God made them for each other and Monkey knew just when to be on her best behavior. I'm so glad they had each other. It was truly an honor knowing your mom the short time I did. She is and always will be a role model to me.
