Don and family, My sincere condolences. I have so many memories of this beautiful lady. I, also, bowled with Carole and Blanche at the Super Bowl (in the 80's). I dropped my 1 year old daughter off at their day care and had a great time. I recall all of the amazing times at barbershop afterglows. Sooo many laughs!!! Don and Carole taught me how to water ski. Got up the first try!!! Carole, also, shared her chili recipe with me which I am making today. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. I will never forget.
Joe and Kathy Schink left a message on March 15, 2020:
Don and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Carole was such a kind, caring, sweet, funny lady. I had lots of fun bowling on a ladies league at Super Bowl with Carole and Blanche in the late 1970's. The kids favorite place to go on Halloween was Don and Carole's to see Carole dressed up and scaring them as a witch! They loved it. We have many fond memories of our wonderful neighbors. We are sorry that we couldn't pay our respects in person as when we got to St. Pius we were informed that the service was canceled. Our sympathy to all of you. Joe and Kathy Schink

Our memories of Carole will always be among the ones we will cherish most as we age. Carole and Don were among the very first to welcome us as neighbors in 1977. For the next 33 years we shared pleasant times with the Schinks, Latimers and others at the Houdek home when Carole hosted her annual block party each summer. Each Christmas season when we all gathered for our annual round-robin visits to each of our homes her enthusiasm and warmth of character was contagious and we were all the better for her sharing it with us. I recall pleasant summer evenings and chilly fall days sitting on the front steps and chatting about anything or everything. It was enough to enjoy each others company. Simply put: Carole was, still is, a wonderful person who will always have her place in our memories. You will be there also, Don. Go with God, friends.

I knew Kay's mom growing up as Kay and I were best of friends. Carole was an extraordinary woman. Love was the core of her being. It was the essence of who she was. Perhaps that's why she 'glowed'. So many wonderful memories that touched our hearts that will live on. Hugs and prayers to the family.
