Carol Smith Forster

December 19, 1927 — January 18, 2013

Carol Smith Forster, 85, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2013. She is now reunited with her husband, our dad, John Forster, whom she married on April 7, 1951. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. Carol was born December 19, 1927 and was adopted by her loving parents L.C. and Helen Smith. Carol is survived by her children: Kathy (Rick) and their daughter Michelle of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; Jackie (Bruce) of Appleton; Marilyn of Appleton and her daughter Carolyn (granddaughter Brooklyn) of Texas; Susan (Tom) of Sacramento and their children Hunter, Jesse, and Ariana; and Michael of Appleton. She is further survived by her brother: Dr. Robert (Carolyn) Smith of Minocqua, Wisconsin and their family; and a sister-in-law LaVerne Forster and her family of Kaukauna. She is also survived by many special relatives, friends, and neighbors. Carol was a dedicated registered nurse at the Appleton Medical Center until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Appleton for nearly sixty years.

We will miss her very witty sense of humor, and her caring, loving, and generous spirit.

In keeping with Carol's wish, no service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to Emerald Valley Assisted Living, 200 W. Valley Road, Appleton, WI 54915. It was at Emerald Valley that Carol came to enjoy her newest friends and family; they were so very good to her. Tabitha, we thank you and your entire staff. We could not have asked for a more loving and caring group of people.

The family would also like to thank the staff on the 8th floor at AMC for their kindness and care of our mom during her final week.

Mom, you will be in our hearts and thoughts forever.
