Age 81, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 5, 2005 at Franciscan Care Center. He was born in Appleton on November 30, 1923 to the late Frank and Mae (Schumacher) Blohm. He served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. On February 9, 1946 he married Ione Anthony and they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Ione; his children: Fran (Frank) Papenfus, Appleton, Carl Jr. (Connie) Blohm, Mackville, Brenda Blohm, Appleton, Gary (Lisa) Blohm, Appleton, Bonnie (Gene) Hoks, Appleton; grandchildren: April (Dave) Wagner, Black Creek, Angel (Richard) Howe, Appleton, Jolene (Matt) Close, Appleton, Frankie Papenfus, Appleton, Candy Jolly, Appleton, Christina (Bob) Withrow, Kimberly, Tiffany Blohm, Appleton, Sara Hoks, Appleton, Bel Hoks, Appleton; 11 great grandchildren, brother, Donald Blohm, Appleton; sister-in-law, Elsie Pierre, Appleton; brother-in-law: Wayne (Jean) Anthony, Appleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Blohm.
Funeral services for Mr. Blohm will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 W. Lawrence St., Appleton with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass. Military Honors will be performed prior to interment at Highland Memorial Park
