Bruce Walter Romenesko

July 8, 1949 — December 27, 2011

Bruce Walter Romenesko, 62, of Freedom moved on to the eternal light to be with his mother and father on December 27, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

Bruce was born on July 8, 1949 to Orville and Isabel (Lamers) Romenesko in Little Chute. After graduation from Freedom High School, Bruce received a teaching degree through Outagamie County Teachers College before moving on to a position at Appleton Coated where he spent the rest of his career before early retirement in November 2010. Bruce lived for camping, traveling the world, riding his Harley, picking weeds in his garden with his grand sons, and spending time at large family cookouts and gatherings. Prior to and after his retirement he most of all loved to fish with his children/grandchildren in his new boat, along with becoming an avid golfer hitting his long freeway driver, hanging out with his brothers, and spending time with friends. Bruce will be greatly missed and loved by all.

Bruce is survived by four children; Brian (Tanya) Romenesko, Kaukauna, Adam (Angela) Romenesko, Wrightstown, Erin (Jason) Buss, Kaukauna, Jonelle (Victor) Romenesko, Kaukauna, along with five grandchildren; Curran Buss, Korbyn Buss, Adrionna Balgie, Isabella Balgie, and Trenton Romenesko, with two on the way: Victor Reynolds and Aries Romenesko. Bruce is further survived by two brothers and four sisters; Mark (Diane) Romenesko, Kaukauna, Paul (Debbie) Romenesko, Appleton, Becky (Don) Green, Menasha, Kim (Jason Dries) Romenesko, Milwaukee, Ann (Dave Duquette) Romenesko, DePere, Amy (Cory Coleman) Romenesko, Milwaukee. Former spouse, Pat (Pendergast) Romenesko. A world apart, special friend Veliana Hristova, Madrid, Spain. His nieces, nephews, other relatives, special neighbors; Casey and Judy, Bob and Monica, Mike and Patty, Leroy and Carol, the Grader Raiders from the mill, and many many friends.

Proceeded in death by his father, Orville, and mother, Isabel, Romenesko. Also proceeded by grandson Ollie Romenesko, of Brian (Tanya) Romenesko.

The memorial service for Bruce will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH (W2027 County Road S Freedom) at 11:00 AM with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Fargo Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bruce's name.
