Bruce E. Steffen

Bruce Steffen, age 79, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Manor Care. He was born on February 19, 1935 in Appleton, to the late Erval and Gladys (Satorius) Steffen. Bruce served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. Bruce was preceded in death by his three wives, Mayako “Judy” Fusamoto, Ruth Kieffer, and Marsha (Dalemont) Brownson. He was employed at Kimberly Clark and Winnebago Mental Health Institute, retiring in March of 1997. Bruce enjoyed his time with Marsha on Kelly Lake and his interests included fishing, gardening, camping, and boating.

Bruce is survived by his children: Pam (Bob) Steffen-Karls of Weston and Lance (Chris) Steffen of Madison; step-children: Sean Brownson of Neenah and Kelly (Kevin) Euler of Kenosha; siblings: Howard (Pat) Steffen of Townsend, Margo (Howard) Hidde of New London, and Charmaine (John) Larsen of Menasha. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bruce was also preceded in death by his brother Robert (Sue) Steffen.

The funeral service for Bruce will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Rev. Robert Raasch will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Humane Association of Appleton. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
