Brian A. Miller, USN

June 28, 1958 — October 3, 2007

Brian Miller, age 49, died early on Wednesday morning, October 3, 2007. After years of battling various health conditions, it became necessary to enlist the wonderful staff at Brewster Village to monitor his care. Brian was born June 22, 1958, son of the late Merlin and Marlene Miller. He was a graduate of the Hortonville High School, and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Brian is survived by a sister: Cindy (Pete) Beyer of Appleton; a brother: Greg A. Miller of Appleton; an uncle: Floyd (June) Miller of Mackville; and cousins: Mike, Bill, and Joe Miller, all of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Since his discharge from the Navy in 1979, Brian has fought many battles in his life and was always thankful for the consistent friendship, comfort, and continuity of care he received through Agape of Appleton and Francis “Stack” Heesakker; their support has been invaluable to his family. The staff of Symphony Place at Brewster Village will always have the lasting thanks of his family for all of the care and services they provided for Brian while he lived there. Truly, through his compassionate and respectful nature, Brian touched the hearts of everyone who knew or worked with him over the years. He will be dearly missed.

Funeral services for Brian will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Interment will full military rites will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.

To Dr. Vogel, each and every nurse and aide, support staff at Brewster Village, Vicki and her staff at Agape of Appleton, and Stack: You all made Brian feel important and he was able to go to his final resting place with pride and dignity. Thank you all so very much.
