Bonnie J. Otto

March 14, 1945 — February 12, 2012

Bonnie Jean Otto, age 66, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 following a brief illness. Bonnie was born in Shawano on March 14, 1945, daughter of the late “Doc” and Verna (Toellner) Surdell, a local dentist. She attended high school in Bonduel, and in September of 1963, married Lee Otto. For many years, Bonnie worked as a receptionist for different dentists in the area. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband: Lee Otto; a son: Todd Otto; a daughter: Stacey (Paul) Gosling; and a grandson: Ethan Gosling, all of Appleton; a sister: Sandy (Willy) Edwards of Menasha; a brother-in-law: Danny (Lisa) Otto and a sister-in-law: Janet Beyer, both of Shawano. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law: Don Beyer; and by her in-laws: Arnold and Marcella (Hagel) Otto.

In keeping with Bonnie's wishes, her memorial service will be private and at a later date, but a visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
