Beverly Zoelk

Beverly H. Zoelk, age 79, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 28, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Bev was born on March 12, 1935, daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Rorabacher) Boese. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. While walking on Main Street in Oshkosh, Bev met Lyle Zoelk. They would marry on February 20, 1954, and continue to walk together for the next 60 years.
Before Bev's illness she was an active volunteer at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to rummage sales, as well as attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Bev also cherished the time spent alongside her husband as they worked at the Heritage.
Bev will be greatly missed by her husband: Lyle; her children: Kathryn Keller of Appleton, Susan (Bruce) Anderson of Appleton, and Steven Zoelk of Clintonville. She is further survived by her granddaughters: Chanda (Wayne) Millard, Marissa Keller, Devon Anderson, and Sara Anderson; her great granddaughters Keeli Millard and McKenzie Millard; her siblings: Keith Boese and Jackie (Dennis) Kotloski; and her sister-in-law: Nancy Boese. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Sheri Zoelk; her son-in-law Michael Keller; and her brothers: Dennis Boese and Raymond Boese. She was also preceded by many in-laws.
The memorial service for Beverly will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St, Appleton, with Pastor Leon Knitt officiating.
