Beverly F. Schroeder

Beverly F. Schroeder, 82 of Kaukauna, passed away on August 2, 2016. Beverly was born in Appleton Wisconsin on June 28, 1934 to Harry and Loretta (Schuler) Horn. She was a 1952 graduate of Kaukauna High School. On October 31, 1953 she married the love of her life, Lawrence W. “Pee Wee” Schroeder and they enjoyed over 46 years together before he passed away on December 23, 1999. Beverly attended the Neenah Menasha Training School for Nurses and after graduation, she worked at the Kaukauna Hospital and later worked at Parkside, now named Atrium Acute Care of Little Chute. She was employed there for over 25 years, retiring in September 1999. Beverly and Pee Wee loved being up north at Pine Lake in Hiles at their trailer called “Pension Valley” where they enjoyed fishing on their pontoon boat. She was a bookworm who loved to read. She also loved her daily breakfast at the Kaukauna Family Restaurant with her friends. If she didn't see her friends from the restaurant daily, she would always worry.
She had a sweet tooth and especially loved fudge from Eagle River, Seroogy's chocolates and coffee cake. Beverly and Pee Wee loved bowling and for over 25 years they played in a local bowling league. She also enjoyed watching the Packers play and watching golf on TV.
She is survived by her children: Steven (Jeanette) Schroeder of Milwaukee; Sallie (Robert) Graf of Kaukauna; Karen (Kevin) Hietpas of Kaukauna; Jeff (Julie) Schroeder of Little Chute, grandchildren: Shannon, Julie, Rob, Amy and Laura, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law: Mary Ann (Dan) Geske and Nancy Eick as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pee Wee and one grandchild Tiffany Schroeder.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Beverly's life at the Fargo Funeral Home of Kaukauna on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Visitation will conclude with a memorial service at the funeral home at 4:00pm. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established with donations being used to support dementia care research and the Humane Society.
