Betty Vail

Betty Vail, of Appleton passed away on July 9, 2010 at the Appleton Health Center after a lengthy illness. Betty was born on July 20, 1925 in Park Falls, WI to the late Walter and Rose (Engildinger) Swanson. Betty graduated from Park Falls High School. She married John Vail in Madison, WI on January 31, 1949. They had one son Gary and three grandchildren Gary Jr, Bradley and Zachary. Betty enjoyed reading, taking care of her home, and traveling. She also really enjoyed her flowers. Betty was a life member of the Eastern Star.

Betty is survived by her husband, John, her son Gary, and three grandchildren.

A memorial service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME at 11:00 AM with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
