Betty Jane Weinaug

February 8, 1939 — March 14, 2010

Weinaug, Betty Jane

Betty Jane Weinaug, 71, passed away quietly with her family by her side on Sunday, March 14, 2010 following a two year battle with cancer. Betty was born in Sheboygan on February 8, 1939, to the late Donald and Margaret Humphrey. Betty married Curt Weinaug on October 17, 1959. She was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved her gardening, watching the birds and squirrels, and took pride in her back yard oasis. She was the quiet coordinator of family activities at the family cottage.
Betty is survived by her husband Curt, two sons, Paul (Cyndi) Weinaug, Menasha; and Dave Weinaug, Appleton; six grandchildren, Collette, Megan, Collin, Ethan, Tessa and Brynn Weinaug; a brother Allen (Kay) Humphrey and a sister Jean (Dave) Veldman. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Joshua Weinaug. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the APPLETON ALLIANCE CHURCH (2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd) with Rev. Dick Schaefer officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Guenther and Dr. Munson at the Siekman Cancer Center, and the staff at Cherry Meadows, especially Sue for the wonderful care they gave Betty.
God plants seeds of life, and watches over his garden. Though her flowers were her hobby, her true gift was the reflection of God's garden, that we should all grow within it.
