Betty Jane Metko
Brewster Village
Appleton

Age 78, died peacefully, Tuesday evening, April 15, 2003. She was born February 24, 1925, to the late Harold and Barbara (Wichser) Hoerz, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and had been an Appleton resident since 1957 until retiring to Crandon, Wisconsin, in 1977. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and Wayne Pennings, Appleton; a son, Joseph Metko, Schofield, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Chad Pennings, Brigette Pennings and Andrew Metko; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Metko, a brother Floyd Hoerz and a sister Rojean Schoenborn. Betty requested that there be no funeral ceremony, but from her heart and spirit, wanted to say “Goodbye” to all of her friends, especially to her friend, Bill.

At this time the family wants to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brewster Village, which includes the aides, nurses and doctors for the loving and professional care Betty received.

Mom, through all the bad times, through all the good times, you were always my “Hero”. Love you and I’ll miss you, Barbie.
