Age 54, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday night, January 30, 2003, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Bertha was born on February 10, 1948, in Mexico to Juan and Alejandrina (Castillo) Martinez. Bertha was formerly employed at Anchor Foods (McCain). Bertha is survived by her parents, her husband, Domingo Garcia; her ten children, Rosalinda Garcia, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, Carmen Polanco, Domingo A. Garcia, Bertha A. Garcia, Gishela Geise, Miriam Quinonez, Lorena Amador, Jose J. Garcia and Jorge I. Garcia; her grandchildren; and her son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2003, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on SATURDAY from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on SUNDAY from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Bovina Cemetery, Shiocton. Bertha will be greatly missed by her husband, ten children and grandchildren.
