Age 86, entered eternal life on Sunday, February 11, 2001. She passed away at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born on November 13, 1914, in Lena. Bernice married Silverius Stingle on January 3, 1954, at St. Luke’s Church in Two Rivers. She resided in Sherwood since her marriage, and worked for many years at Sherwood Bank. Bernice had a special devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. She was a very generous member of Sacred Heart Parish since 1954 and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Bernice loved people and will be sorely missed by her good friends and neighbors. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Rev. Lawrence Stingle and many wonderful friends. The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, N341 Military Road, Sherwood, with the Rev. Kenneth Frozena and Rev. Lawrence Stingle concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Memorials directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church would be appreciated. Deep appreciation is expressed to Bernice’s wonderful friends and neighbors who showed her loving care, especially Laverne Schneider, Milan and Janet Deprey, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Diedrich and the personnel of St. Paul Home in Kaukauna.
