June and I send our best wishes to Scott, Cathy and their family. We really wanted to attend the services, but we had a long-standing commitment to a charity event this evening with people who were coming in from out of town, and couldn't cancel.

Scott Farrell left a message on April 6, 2009:
Many thanks to Mom's family (her ohana) and friends who were such a great source of strength and comfort to my father Jim, sister Cindy and me during her illness and now in her absence. We talked at her funeral about how Mom's work as a teacher of the lessons of life both large and small was never done. Thoughout her rich and vibrant life with us, Mom taught us many things -- even in her final days when she taught us important lessons about courage, faith, love and hope. Indeed, a mother’s work is never done. How true that it was with Mom. And Mom, your work still isn’t finished. You will continue to teach all of us about what it means to love and to be loved for all time. We’ll see you soon, Mom, and when we do, we’ll pick up right where we left off.
