Age 90, died Friday morning, June 29, 2001, following a long illness. She was born May 27, 1911, to the late George A. and Henrietta (Lippert) Trachte, in Madison, where she graduated from the University of Wisconsin. Barbara had been a long time resident of Appleton. She had been employed by the Easter Seal Shop in vocational rehabilitation, where she taught crafts to home bound people. Barbara enjoyed gardening and was an accomplished artist in many fields. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Garden Society and a life time member of The Clearing. Survivors include her husband, Jack M. Rudolph, to whom she had been married for nearly 30 years; a sister, Carol Snell, Madison; four nephews and two neices, Jay Snell, Andrew Snell, Mary Lee Gleason, Betsy Rota, George Rota and Dave Rota; a brother-in-law, Charles Rota, Appleton; five step-children, Mary Vassel, Green Bay; Linda Lorenz, Hartland; Julie Ball, Duluth, MN; Gina Rolsten, Lawrenceville, GA; William Rudolph, New Berlin; and a special friend, Vera Fulton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Rota. Memorial services for Barbara will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 7, 2001, at MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 803 East College Avenue, with Reverend Charles Valenti-Hein officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison. A memorial fund is being established.
