Barb was a sweet and dear friend who I got to know over her weekly visits to Quiznos. She became like family and soon I got to know her family . Come to find out her Her and daughter Kristin and I went to the same high school. We became so close that I soon started calling her Grandma and got a hug everytime she came into eat. She attended my wedding and was so excited when I told her I was expecting. She would often ask how the baby was . She was so caring and sweet and we always had a good time catching up. I will miss her dearly.. Van Eperens thank you for taking her to Quiznos the last few years .. I enjoyed getting to know you as well. My deepest condolences and love.

Reading the obit brought back so many memories-especially the neighborhood parties held in various garages along 3rd St, and in Roosevelt Park. Deb (Schuh) mentioned the ‘Barberisms’-my favorite, and one I use, was if one complained about any misfortune, too much work, etc. She would look at you and tell you to “offer it up”! Catholics will understand
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

To all the "Epie's" our prayers and condolences on the loss of Barbara. She and Paul moved next to us in 54/55/56 and b she became like a second mother to all of the VL/W's next door. As the eldest kid on 3rd Street From Lincoln to Washington I have many fond memories of her. I tried to see her when I'd get back to Kimberly and always had nice chats with her. She never had an unkind word about anyone and was to me what a real Christian should be. Hope she's having a beer and playing some cards. or just chewing the fat with our other neighbors who have passed. She truly is a saint. We'll be at her funeral in spirit.

I wanted to send my deepest condolences to the family of Barbra and share some words of comfort in these hard times, we were not meant to deal with this pain on our own. 1 Corinthians 1: 3,4 describes God as “the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials”. By delving into God’s word the Bible we can find solace in these times. I hope you were able to find even the least bit of comfort in these words. Once again please accept my deepest condolences.

Barbara will always be in my heart as one of the sweetest, kindest, and most genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is such an important part of my childhood, she made me feel a part of the family. And her Barbarisms” were always with me as I raised my own kids.
A favorite: If that sun is shining and you think there’s nothing to do, get outside and play!
You need to “get the stink off”!
I will always love you Barbara❤️
