Barbara Ann Tranter

October 5, 1933 — March 20, 2010

Barbara Tranter, age 76, passed away at her home on Saturday afternoon, March 20, 2010. Barb was born in Larsen, Wisconsin on October 5, 1933, daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie (Philippi) Miller. Barbara was a 1951 graduate of the Hortonville High School. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling about in her Chinook motor home, dining out with family and friends, and her friendships with her fellow “Red Hatters”. For many years, Barb also looked forward to wintering in Arizona, enjoying the sun and her many friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Gwen Pulido of Menasha and Diana Gengozian of Colorado; an adopted daughter: Barb Pinkowski of Menasha; three step-daughters: Pat Ruckdashel, Leanna Lorge, and Carol Lingnofski; four grandchildren: Vickie Thompson of Appleton; Paula (Emerson) Pulido of Appleton; Feather (Corey) Buffkin of Colorado; and Nicholas Gengozian of Colorado; four great-grandchildren: Michael Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Keller Buffkin, and Aniyah Lucia Grace; as well as dear friends Cleo and Jerry Inama. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Stanley Miller, a son-in-law Ron Voeks, her husband A.J. Tranter, II, and a great-grandson Taylor Gray.

There will be an open house for Barb's family and friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at 857 Tayco Street in Menasha. Please come to share memories of Barb and to offer your support to the family.

The family would like to offer their thanks to everyone on the 4th Floor at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their wonderful care and to Cleo Inama for her personal attention and care; your kindness will never be forgotten.
