Barbara A. Klein

June 1, 1933 — March 19, 2013

Barbara Klein, age 79, passed away peacefully at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Barbara was born in Appleton on June 1, 1933, daughter of the late Charles and Alida (Laurisch) Klein.

Barbara loved everyone she met, and everyone she met loved her. She was a very special person in the lives of many, and wherever she resided at any given time, she always considered the other residents as her family. In addition to her friends at St. Paul Home, she is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and their families.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph, Lewis, Norbert, Gerald, and Richard; and by sisters Mary and Germaine (Emmet)Kelly.

A funeral service for Barbara will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the St. Paul Home Chapel, 316 E. 14th Street in Kaukauna. Chaplain Ellen Scheibe will lead the service. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the nursing home chapel on Wednesday from 5:30 PM until the time of the service.

Barbara's nieces and nephews would like to thank all those who have provided such personal and compassionate care to Barbara throughout her life. Barbara often said she felt spoiled by all those who came into her life to provide her care. In particular, a special thank you to Pat Harbor and the staff at Menning Manor, for providing a special place that Barbara considered to be her “home” for 15 years. We also would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the physicians and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Theda Care, and most recently St. Paul Elder Services and Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided for Barbara over the years.
