Barbara A. Hibbard

December 12, 1935 — October 10, 2016

Barbara A. Bartelt-Hibbard, 80 passed away on October 10, 2016 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Barb was born on December 12, 1935 to Walter and Loraine (Pautz) Buetow. She grew up in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and was a 1954 graduate of Kaukauna High School. She married Clifford Bartelt on December 23, 1960, and they shared 35 wonderful years together until his passing on March 9, 1996. Barb was very blessed to once again find love, when she married John Hibbard on May 27, 1999. She looked forward to spending time at her condo on Sanibel Island, Florida and at her cottage in Townsend where she had so many great memories over the years. She enjoyed watching the birds, pontoon rides, and of course having happy hour (with a good old-fashioned) while spending time with her many friends and family. She looked forward to playing cards and beating John in Phase 10, while having their morning coffee together. She also claimed to make the best chocolate chip cookies, which may or may not be missed by all of us!

She will be sadly missed by her husband, John Hibbard, Appleton; two daughters: Michelle (Dean) Van Nuland, Lisa (Jeff) Dorschner, both of Appleton; a son, Jim (Rhonda) Bartelt, Appleton; eleven grandchildren: Katie, Carly and Brianna Van Nuland, Nicole Van Nuland, Kayla, Raine, Ashanti and Ezra Dorschner, and Michael, Matthew and Heather Bartelt. Her step-children, Charlene (Gary) Skalmusky , Pete (Sue) Hibbard, Leanne (Tom) Kraft, Bill (Rita) Hibbard and Ken (special friend Karen) Hibbard; including twelve step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren; three brothers: Carl (Judy) Frederick, Tom (Sharon) Frederick and Bruce (Linda) Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Cliff and her sister and brother-in-law Norma and Howard Hoehne.
