Arlene W. Stowasser

Arlene W. Stowasser, age 90, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born on May 5, 1927 to the late William and Lena (Hose) Brandt in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Arlene married the love of her life, Robert Stowasser on November 6, 1948 at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. Together they were blessed with two sons, Robert Jr. and Allen.

She was employed for fifteen years as a cashier with the Red Owl Supermarket in Menasha retiring in 1982. She always enjoyed working there and met so many people. Arlene enjoyed cards, reading, playing the organ and was a great jigsaw puzzle solver. Above all she cherished her family and the time spent with them.

Arlene is survived by her loving son, Allen Stowasser; her four grandchildren, Joel, Cassandra, Patricia and Crystal; six great-grandchildren, Parker, Sarina and Alexandra, Melina and Thompson and Brooklyn. She is further survived by her daughter-in-law, Theresa; special niece, Janice (Dave) and many other dear relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on May 29, 2002 and her son Robert Jr. on February 20, 2016. She is also preceded in death by all of her siblings.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason Street in Appleton. Visitation will be held Thursday at church at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service with Pastor Thomas Mielke officiating. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, Arlene has asked that any donations may be made to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in her name. Online condolences can be shared at www.wichmannfargo.com.
