Age 88, died on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services. Arlene was born in Appleton on April 4, 1920 daughter of the late Adolph and Alma (Plamann) Risse. She married Herbert Welsch on December 31, 1944 and he survives her. In addition to her husband, Arlene is survived by her children, Charles (Susan) Welsch, Attleboro, MA., Thomas (Barbara) Welsch, Appleton, and Lynda (Bruce) Ramella, Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Richard Welsch, and Kristen Ramella, sisters- in- law, Joan (Donald) Krueger, Lois (Eugene) Mattern, a brother-in-law, James Welsch, and many friends and neighbors throughout the years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 19, 2008 at the funeral home, with Pastor Waack officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care for all the care given to Arlene, the last few months.
