Arlene Agnes Gorchals

January 26, 1931 – April 15, 2021

Arlene (Quella) Gorchals of Appleton, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, April 16, 2021 at her residence in Peabody Manor in Appleton, WI.

Arlene was born in Appleton, WI on January 26, 1931 to Alma (Laux) and Andrew Quella.  Arlene was a graduate of Appleton High School (West) and married the love of her life, Robert J. Wagner.  Bob and Arlene had 3 sons before he passed away on August 19, 1955.

Arlene met and married Charles Gorchals in 1962.  They had one son and were married until Charlie’s passing in March 2001.

Arlene is survived by her sons:  Dan (Linda) Wagner, Jim (Karen) Wagner, Tom (Vicky) Wagner and Steve (Jeff Scholz) Gorchals; nine grandchildren: Nathaniel (Kelly), Alissa (Dan), Jason (Natalia), Sarah (Robbie), James, Kaitlyn (Alec), Brenda (Russ), Jacob (Tina), Tasha (Scott) and 14 great-grandchildren.  She is further survived by her niece and nephews: Cheryl McDonnell, Jeff (Julie) Diermeier, and Rick (Julie) Diermeier.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Quella; sister, Mary Diermeier and brother-in-law, Claire (Buzz) Diermeier.

A service will be held on April 22, 2021 at Wichmann Funeral Homes, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. There will be a visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a service starting at 2:00 pm.
