Anton Sperl

Anton Sperl, 97, of Appleton died Thursday March 31, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1913 a son of the late Bart and Mary (Sucky) Sperl. Anton married Mildred (Priem) on August 19, 1939.

Anton is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mildred of Appleton; two sons, Donald Sperl of Greenville, and Ralph (Dorothy) Sperl of Greenville; four grandchildren, Michelle (Tim) Scheider, Tammy (Dennis) Coenen, Christine (Stuart) Voelz, and Michael (Monica) Sperl; nine great grandchildren, Morgan, Marshal, Sara, Amber, Luke, Zachary, Marissa, Lauren, and Jarret; one brother, George Sperl of Menominee Falls; and special friends, Violet and Herb Grube. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Schweiner, Jane Vick, and Martha Blohm.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 4, 2011 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME 537 N Superior Street, with Rev. Kurt Kovanen of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
