Anne Marie Rue

January 6, 1936 — October 23, 2018

Anne Marie Rue passed peacefully on October 23, 2018 at 6:02pm at the age of 82. She was surrounded by family. Anne was a mother to many and was an extremely caring and generous person. Anne married Harry Donajkoski and travelled internationally with him until his death in 1962.

Anne is survived by her son, James Allen Donajkoski, and her grandchildren, including Jane Marie Male, Amee Donajkoski (John Hueseman), Emily Smits (Tim Smits), Jerry Geiger (Stephanie Geiger) and his siblings. Anne is also survived by her second husband, Ron Rue. The last 35 years of her life, Anne spent in her Lake Winnebago home in Hilbert, WI with her partner Ralph O. Geiger, Sr.

Anne was the daughter of Louis & Louise Skiba of Alpena, MI and was a loving sister to Carol Skiba, Sylvia Owens, and Fred Skiba. Anne has several best friends throughout her life including Ruth and Phyllis.

Anne loved animals, especially cats, and fed all the strays in the area. Anne was the life of the party and hosted many gatherings and holiday parties. She loved enjoying a nice meal with a drink, and enjoying her family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering for Anne will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm at Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton.

Additional services for Anne will be held this weekend at McWilliams Funeral Home with a funeral mass at St. Ann Catholic Church followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, all in Alpena, Michigan.
