On the first of May in the year 2006 of our Lord, Anita walked into the open arms of Jesus and told him that she loved him. Anita was born on December 28, 1911 on Superior Street in Appleton, Wisconsin. Her parents Arnold and Henrietta Hoerning lived in Appleton and Menasha. Anita's family has always been a part of Menasha with
Hoerning's Concrete and Anita's Bar. Anita will be missed by her daughter Donna Holewinski, grandchildren Mark Holewinski, Kim and Dave Thompson, Gail and Ben Barker, great grandchildren Lindsay and Marques Holewinski, Jill (Shane) Dickson, Amanda, Danielle, and Jeramiah Thompson, Lee and Sarah Wisneski, Angela Wisneski; great grandchildren Alexis and Cole Wisneski and Ethan Schultz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; Robert "Butch" and Gloria Hoerning, Carol and Jim Kampo, Nancy and LeRoy Blank, Hildegarde Hoerning, Bev Sambs, Charlotte Barry and families and a special friend Trudy Trader. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill (Rose) Hoerning, former husband Roy Glaser, two nephews, Lester and Gerald Hoerning, a niece Delores Eimer and a cousin Marie Cilhar. Anita was rolled into Oakridge Gardens in July of 1999, when she was unable to walk. Today she walked out hand in hand with Jesus. Nana, you will always be our sunshine! The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the friends and family at Oakridge Gardens.

Funeral Services for Anita will be held on Thursday May 4, 2006 at 7 P.M. at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha, with Pastor Dave Skarsten officiating. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
