Amy M. Wyman

March 29, 1959 — June 26, 2017

I am Amy M. Wyman (Nee: Herman). I was born on Easter Sunday, March 29th, 1959 to John E. and Ann M. (Felix) Herman. I passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the age of 58. I attended Appleton public schools until my parents, with my Gram Felix’s help, provided the opportunity to attend Xavier High School. It was there I played on numerous athletic teams, with my true love being basketball. As a proud Xavier Hawk graduate, I carried this love forth, coaching both basketball and volleyball for many years at St. Thomas More.

St. Thomas More was also where I married Randolph Wyman. July 2nd of this year will commemorate our 40 years of marriage. Appleton has been our home until our recent move to the Town of Center.

My working life consisted of many non-traditional female tasks, including “semi” driving with my husband. The greatest joy in my life emanates from family: camping, traveling, playing games and penny poker around the kitchen table and foolishness.

I am survived by my devoted husband, Randolph (Randy), my awesome sons: Gary Wyman (Mandie Ostrand), Green Bay; Anthony (Jamie) Wyman, Sheboygan Falls, and my marvelous grandchildren: Carson (“The Flash”), Ava (“Beaner”), Ellie (“Elligator”) and Amelia (“Mia Marie”), my mother, Ann Marie Herman, brother, Joseph (Susan) Herman, sister, Jenny Blair, my in-laws: Albert and Lona Eg, Kitty (Bud) Fuerst, Deb (Walter) Blank, Ron (Lorelei) Wyman; nieces and nephews: Abigail (Patrick) Dench, Drew (fiancé: Stephanie) Herman, A.J. Blair, Nick Blair, Tatianna Wyman, Karleen (Brad) Birzer, Alex (fiancé Melanie) Wyman, Christian Blank and great nieces and nephews: Darian (“Boo”), Carter (“Tolo”), Caleb (“Pele”) and Brielle‚Ķand my amazing (dynamite, incredible, magnificent, remarkable, sensational, stupendous, loving, caring) “Y” buddies. Preceding me in death was my father, John E. (Jack) Herman and grandparents, George & Clara Felix and Joseph & June Herman, and father in law, Marvin Wyman.

My funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton. My family will be there to greet other relatives and friends on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. I will be buried privately at a later time at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. A special Thank You to Dr. Goggins and his compassionate, smiley staff, and Heartland Hospice (especially Julie).
I am grateful that God gave me the opportunity to fulfill most of my bucket list: trips to Disney, boat navigating through the Louisiana swamps, fireside evenings in Door County and time with family.

I am also blessed by a great support group, far exceeding any numbers I could have imagined. (You all know who you are!)
Remember me for my humor and foolishness.

To all my family and friends: “be the best that you can be, and, above all, be happy”.
