Amy C. Hemauer

Amy Hemauer, age 42, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015. She was born on June 7, 1972 in Appleton, to Roger and Barbara (Schoen) Retzlaff. On April 4, 1992, Amy married Donald Hemauer in Neenah. She always looked forward to camping at Farmer Gene's in Marion. Amy enjoyed reading, cooking, walking, and shopping. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and children. Her kids meant the world to her. She was a member of the Midwest – RSD Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Support Group. Amy volunteered and gave support to many individuals in this group, and helped save their lives.

Amy is survived by her husband, Don Hemauer; children: Brittni, Nathan, Megan, and Justin; parents: Roger and Barb Retzlaff; siblings: Connie (Mike) Frahm and Scott (Lisa) Retzlaff; Godchildren: Corey Frahm and Carson Frahm. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends, and her cats Shadow and Riley. Amy was preceded in death by an infant son Daniel, two brothers: Rick and Todd Retzlaff; grandparents: Harvey and Ione Schoen, Dorothy Cumber.

The funeral liturgy for Amy will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 26, 2015 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette Street in Appleton. Fr. Thomas J. Farrell will be officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until 11:15 am. A prayer service will take place on Sunday at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
